Summary
Cil is an artist/illustrator from Dumaguete City, Philippines, who mainly does digital line art and traditional art on paper, focusing more on incorporating different techniques to produce detailed illustrations and artworks.
She has contributed to a number of projects such as PAGSIBOl, C Magazine (a magazine in London), and The Spirits of the Philippine Archipelago. Cil's most recent achievement is being selected as one of the artist contributors for Graphika Manila's 2020 artbook. Graphika Manila is the biggest creativity conference in Manila, Philippines, hailed as one of the most influential annual events on design this side of the world. She was also part of art events in the city such as KISAW, Dumaguete's Arts Month celebration where they organized a public mobile art gallery called PediKABS, as well as Forest Camp's Music and Arts Festival and digital art exhibit "CTRL + Z".
She collaborated with local online gift shop, Inspired by.ph, where she did a couple of designs for their postcards, posters, and stickers. She worked with the same company for their ukulele-designing exhibit called "Reasons to Love the Philippines" at the Flying Fish Hostel along with other local artists. Cil's most notable project with the company is the Life-giving Seagrass Exhibit, where she and fellow local artist Angelo delos Santos produced artworks that showcased seagrasses to raise awareness of the importance and protection of seagrasses in the Philippines. The event was fully supported by Big Blue Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting seagrasses and the marine ecosystem.
